Article Submission Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum word count for an article?
The minimum word count is 300 in the article's final spun format.
How will I be notified if my article was rejected by a site?
You are not explicitly notified. The only form of notification is the acceptance rate of the article that's adjusted in your list of articles.
Will I have the opportunity to fix and and resubmit an article to the same site that rejected it?
No, that opportunity does not exist. Once rejected, your article is not again presented to the site owner for approval.
Can I get a list of the sites where my article has been published?
Unfortunately not, at least not in this system. Protecting the integrity of the network and protecting the privacy of our site owners will always be a big deal to us. The only way you can see where an article has been published is via the standard searches in Google. In some cases, depending on the configuration of the destination site, you may get pingbacks to the URL(s) in your article.

How do I know for certain that my article has been published the number of times that your system says it has been published?
Our system does not grab that number from thin air. It only increments that number after it has successfully published an article on a site.
Why don't I see that number of links back in the Google search results to the site I'm promoting?
First, Google never shows you all the links back to your site. That's a widely known fact. Secondly, it's possible that Google has not yet indexed all the pages where we published your article. That can take some time. Some sites where we published your article could have gone down permanently. Some site owners could have decided to delete your article from their sites. There's a legion of reasons why. We can't spider the web to try and keep an active count. The best we can do is tell you how many times we have successfully published your article.
Must I plug sites into the network to submit articles?
No, there's no requirement that you have to plug any of your sites into the network before you can submit articles. The only requirement is that you must have an active paid subscription. Of course, you could plug in as many of your sites as you like, but that is optional.
What happens to my articles if I cancel my paid membership?
Your articles in the system are disabled (not deleted) when your subscription period runs out. If you pay again within 90 days, all your articles are immediately reinstated. In other words, when your subscription period runs out, the system simply stops distributing your articles.

What happens to the links in my articles that have been published on sites if I cancel my paid membership?
Zero, nothing, nada. All the links in the copies of the articles that have already been published on sites remain intact. The system doesn't touch those links. The site owners of the sites where your articles were published are unaware that you're not a paid member any longer.
How many links can I have in an article?
You can add up to three hyperlinks in an article.
Must those links point to one of my sites that I've connected to the network?
Absolutely not. The links in an article can point to any site of your choice. If you want to link to CNN, go ahead.

Phew, manual article spinning can get really complex -- do you have advice on making it a little easier?
With all those delimiters it can quickly become very tough to keep track of what you're spinning. We know, we spin our own articles that way.
Here's a basic process you can follow that will help.
- Write your article with no spins in it, and mark the places where you want to insert links with **LINK** (don't insert the actual links yet).
- Add the article in the system and save it in Draft format. Don't publish it yet!
- If the article saves with no errors, continue with the next step.
- Insert your first level spins with the { } delimiters.
- Save the article again in Draft mode to see if it has any errors.
- If the article saves with no errors, continue with the next step.
- Insert your second level spins with the [ ] delimiters.
- Save the article again in Draft mode to see if it has any errors.
- If the article saves with no errors, continue with the next step.
- Replace the **LINK** markers with your hyperlinks and spin those hyperlinks.
- Save the article again in Draft mode to see if it has any errors.
- If the article saves with no errors, edit it again and Publish it.

Why don't you put restrictions on where a link can point?
We want people to be able to link to any content on the web. If you want to include links in an article to one of your Squidoo lenses, you can do that. To one of your Digg submissions -- you can do that. Flexibility is the name of the game.
Do you publish my article on article directories, such as EzineArticles and Article Dashboard?
No, we don't. We only publish articles on sites that owners voluntarily connect to our network. We will never scrape a site or do anything shady to publish articles on it. We only publish through public API's and only when the site owner has opted in to receive content from the system.
Will you ever publish articles on article directories?
No.
Why are site owners rejecting my article?
Site owners reject articles for a variety of reasons. It's their sites, remember, and they have full decision rights on what is published on their sites. Some will reject an article simply because they feel it doesn't reflect the tone that they want for their blog. Others will reject because there may be spelling or grammar errors in the article. If the rejection rate of an article falls below 50%, then you seriously need to look at the article and improve it, because that indicates that most site owners feel that the article is of inferior quality.

What can site owners do with my article?
Site owners are not allowed to change or remove your links in any way or form, and they are not allowed to republish your article somewhere else as their own work. They are allowed to add their own links to the article, and they are allowed to insert ads into the article. They are also allowed to correct mistakes in the article, and they are allowed to completely delete the article from their site. Not many site owners will delete articles, because they added their blogs to the network specifically to get fresh content for those blogs.
Why should I rewrite my article?
If you don't rewrite your article, then there will be a few hundred exact copies of the article on the web. That helps you very little in terms of backlink value. When you rewrite your article, the system spins a unique copy of the article every time that it publishes the article to a blog. Hence, your backlink value is increased by orders of magnitude.
Another reason why you should rewrite, is that we show the rewritten percentage of an article to the site owner when we present the article for approval. You will find that an article that has not been rewritten will be rejected more often than an article that has been rewritten.
Is it better to rewrite an article offline and then submit those rewritten copies as separate articles in the system?
That is exactly the wrong approach. That way, you still end up with a large number of duplicate copies of your article on the web. It is far better to combine all your rewrites into one single article on the system, with the rewritten sentences/sections as spinnable options. That way your links are embedded in many unique copies of the article on the web.
How much should I rewrite my article?
Simple, the more the better.

How do I insert spinnable hyperlinks in my article?
Check out this blog post on how to submit articles with spinnable hyperlinks.
Can I see all the different spun versions of my article?
When you select a View of your article, you're seeing one spun copy. You see a new spun copy every time that you refresh that page.
Why do I sometimes see funny short sentences like "com" when I use your assisted rewrite?
Our system treats a "." as the end of a sentence. If your article has a sentence that reads "Learn more at microsoft.com." then the system picks "Learn more at microsoft" and "com" as separate sentences to be rewritten. It's not a big deal because it will not hurt your article at all. On those funny sentences, simply click "Save and Next Sentence" without supplying any rewrite options. Your final spun sentences will still be perfect.
Why do I see the same sentence multiple times when I use your assisted rewrite?
Our system randomly picks sentences from your article and presents them to you for rewriting. If you don't rewrite a sentence, then there's a high likelihood that the system will pick it again and present it to you.

Must I have an author box in my article?
No, we recommend that you don't include an author box. When you write an article, think of it as writing a post for your blog. Except, your post is published on other people's blogs. Embed your links in the text of your article like you would do on any other blog post.
Is my name inserted in an article when it is published, or is there a place to define pen names?
The articles are published anonymously. Your name is never ever inserted anywhere in the article. And since article publication is anonymous, there is no need for pen names either.
Does your system add anything to my article when it is published?
No, your article is published exactly as you submitted it. We never add anything and we never remove anything either.
Can I submit an article in more than one category?
You can submit an article in only one category. However, if you have properly rewritten your article with the assisted rewrite (the view article page show 100%+ rewritten), it's safe to copy the text of the article and submit it as a new article in a different category. Don't do that if your article is not rewritten, because then a site owner will receive exact duplicate copies of your article.

How do I pause the distribution of an article?
First, check the Published count of the article in your list of articles. Then edit the article and set its distribution limit equal to that published count (or less than will also work). That effectively pauses the distribution of the article without deleting it. To restart distribution, just increase that number again, or set it to zero.
I saved an article -- why can't I find it in my list of articles?
Did you alter the scheduled date? Articles are sorted by scheduled date in descending order. Or perhaps you missed an error when you saved the article. The article is only actually saved when it's error free, and when you're redirected to the View of the article (or Rewrite) after clicking one of the save buttons.
Am I allowed to insert affiliate links in my articles?
Yes, absolutely. You have three links to work with, and all three of them can be affiliate links if that's what you want to do.
So you won't show me in your system the sites where my article was published, even if I threaten to cancel my membership and ask for a refund?
No, unfortunately we won't. Protecting the integrity of our network and protecting the privacy of our member community is of paramount importance to us. We're truly sorry if we have to part ways over this, but jeopardizing our network integrity and our members' privacy is something we simply cannot do.
