General Fequently Asked Questions
What Is Article Marketing?
Put simply, article marketing is a method for distributing your content to relevant article directories and/or on theme websites.
Why is Article Marketing integral to the promotion of a website?
There are 3 main reasons why you should have Article Marketing as one of your core promotional activities:
- Increased traffic and authority from the article submission itself -- what this means is that the more places your article/s are on the web, the more likely you're going to get a visitor viewing that article, and coming through to your site.
- Increased on theme links -- while we don't believe in "gaming" the search engines, one of the benefits of article submissions is the links that you'll be receiving from on theme sites. This is definitely not a focus, but more of a by product from article marketing.
- Faster indexing in the Search Engines -- again, this is a by product of article marketing, if you have a new site that hasn't yet been indexed by Google, Yahoo or MSN, article marketing provides a medium for those search engines to find you.
Article Marketing is one of the core few promotional aspects that we recommend to everyone we speak to, and one that we ourselves have integrated into our business model and ongoing growth.
Why Is Article Marketing Automation (AMA) different?
Whether you are using a service or whether you are using manual software to submit to article directories, I'm sure you've found that there will be a lot of "dead sites".
Our system is setup in such a way that dead sites don't stay in our system for very long, not only that but within a very short period of time (3 weeks), there are now currently 2,000 sites that you can post to, a figure we are looking to expand very quickly to 10,000-15,000.
What is the difference between joining for free and paid?
As a free member you can join up and immediately start getting relevant on theme content posted to your site, the benefits here are obvious, as you are able to slowly and consistently grow your sites over time with content generated by our paid users.
As a paid member it gives you the capability to post relevant on theme content to sites that are within your industry/market (as well as be able to add your sites in to the network). So whether you are looking to just build content to your site, or you are looking to promote your site through the network, there is a solution for you.
Where do I get the content to post to the AMA network?
There are essentially three places you can go to get content:
- Write it yourself -- ok... so this isn't exactly a place to "go" to get content written, but when you're just starting out, it's probably the best option to save costs.
- Use a PLR Article service.
- Use a service like Rentacoder -- for a fee (usually $10-12 per article) you can have articles written for you and totally outsourced.

Article Submission Fequently Asked Questions
Can I get a list of the sites where my article has been published?
Unfortunately not, at least not in this system. Protecting the integrity of the network and protecting the privacy of our site owners will always be a big deal to us. The only way you can see where an article has been published is via the standard searches in Google. In some cases, depending on the configuration of the destination site, you may get pingbacks to the URL(s) in your article.
How do I know for certain that my article has been published the number of times that your system says it has been published?
Our system does not grab that number from thin air. It only increments that number after it has successfully published an article on a site.
Must I plug sites into the network to submit articles?
No, there's no requirement that you have to plug any of your sites into the network before you can submit articles. The only requirement is that you must have an active paid subscription. Of course, you could plug in as many of your sites as you like, but that is optional.

What happens to my articles if I cancel my paid membership?
Your articles in the system are disabled (not deleted) when your subscription period runs out. If you pay again within 90 days, all your articles are immediately reinstated. In other words, when your subscription period runs out, the system simply stops distributing your articles.
What happens to the links in my articles that have been published on sites if I cancel my paid membership?
Zero, nothing, nada. All the links in the copies of the articles that have already been published on sites remain intact. The system doesn't touch those links. The site owners of the sites where your articles were published are unaware that you're not a paid member any longer.
How many links can I have in an article?
You can add up to three hyperlinks in an article.
Must those links point to one of my sites that I've connected to the network?
Absolutely not. The links in an article can point to any site of your choice. If you want to link to CNN, go ahead.
Am I allowed to insert affiliate links in my articles?
Yes, absolutely. You have three links to work with, and all three of them can be affiliate links if that's what you want to do.

Why don't you put restrictions on where a link can point?
We want people to be able to link to any content on the web. If you want to include links in an article to one of your Squidoo lenses, you can do that. To one of your Digg submissions -- you can do that. Flexibility is the name of the game.
Do you publish my article on article directories, such as EzineArticles and Article Dashboard?
No, we don't. We only publish articles on sites that owners voluntarily connect to our network. We will never scrape a site or do anything shady to publish articles on it. We only publish through public API's and only when the site owner has opted in to receive content from the system.
Will you ever publish articles on article directories?
No.
What can site owners do with my article?
Site owners are not allowed to change or remove your links in any way or form, and they are not allowed to republish your article somewhere else as their own work. They are allowed to add their own links to the article, and they are allowed to insert ads into the article. They are also allowed to correct mistakes in the article, and they are allowed to completely delete the article from their site. Not many site owners will delete articles, because they added their blogs to the network specifically to get fresh content for those blogs.

Why should I rewrite my article?
If you don't rewrite your article, then there will be a few hundred exact copies of the article on the web. That helps you very little in terms of backlink value. When you rewrite your article, the system spins a unique copy of the article every time that it publishes the article to a blog. Hence, your backlink value is increased by orders of magnitude.
How much should I rewrite my article?
Simple, the more the better.
Can I see all the different spun versions of my article?
When you select a View of your article, you're seeing one spun copy. You see a new spun copy every time that you refresh that page.

Must I have an author box in my article?
No, we recommend that you don't include an author box. When you write an article, think of it as writing a post for your blog. Except, your post is published on other people's blogs. Embed your links in the text of your article like you would do on any other blog post.
Is my name inserted in an article when it is published, or is there a place to define pen names?
The articles are published anonymously. Your name is never ever inserted anywhere in the article. And since article publication is anonymous, there is no need for pen names either.
Does your system add anything to my article when it is published?
No, your article is published exactly as you submitted it. We never add anything and we never remove anything either.

Site Owner Frequently Asked Questions
How many sites can I add to the network?
You can add as many sites as you like. There is no limit.
Can I add sites that are on subdomains or in subfolders?
Yes, you can add those sites.
Do I need to upload and install any software on my site?
No, there's nothing to upload and install on your site. We use remote publishing APIs that already exist in your site's software. It's super easy to connect your site to the network.
What are the rules in terms of the articles that I receive on my site?
You are not allowed to modify or remove the hyperlinks in the article in any way whatsoever. You're also not allowed to copy and post the same article somewhere else as your own work. You're welcome to correct grammar or spelling errors. You're also welcome to insert additional links of your own, including using a plugin that automatically converts certain keyphrases to hyperlinks with your affiliate links. You can insert ads or images into the text. In fact, apart from the two rules above (changing or removing hyperlinks and copying the article), you're free to do what you want. It's your blog.

Does your system add anything to the articles that are published on my site?
No, our system publishes articles exactly as they were submitted by the article author. We never add anything to the article.
Will your system create a footprint on my site?
No, it won't. Since articles can be of any length above the required minimum word count, doesn't (or rather shouldn't) contain author boxes, and we don't add anything to the article, once published on your site it looks like something you have written and published yourself by clicking the publish button in your site's admin panel.
How can I test if your system will be able to publish posts on my site?
Try publishing a post on your site with one of the desktop blogging tools, such as ScribeFire, Windows Live Writer, Ecto, etc. If you can do that successfully, then our system will be able to publish posts on your site, because we use exactly the same remote publishing API on your site that those tools use.

Account Frequently Asked Questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Canceling your subscription is super easy, and it's completely under your own control. Simply log in to your PayPal account, locate the subscription transaction, and cancel the subscription there.
What happens to my articles if I cancel my subscription?
When you cancel your subscription, your articles remain active and will be distributed until your subscription period runs out. Let's say, for example, you subscribed on September 12th. That means your paid subscription period runs until October 11th. If you cancel your subscription on September 30th, your account will remain in paid status until October 11th, because that's the period you have paid for. At the end of your subscription period your articles will be disabled and they will stop being distributed. They will remain dormant in the system for 90 days. If you again upgrade your account to paid status within those 90 days, your articles will be restored and they will automatically be distributed again.
What happens to articles published on blogs if I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely nothing happens to them. Copies of your articles that have been published on blogs remain there. Our system does not (and cannot) reach out and remove them from those sites.
What happens to my site portfolio if I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely nothing happens to your site portfolio. Connecting sites to the network is part of the features of a free account. At the end of your subscription term, your account reverts back to a free account, which means you can still have as many sites plugged into the network as you like.
